DELTA
PLUMBING & HEATING SUPPLIES
Delta Plumbing and Heating Supplies has become one of the leading expert sources for plumbing tools in the South West of England. Headquartered in Weymouth, Delta supply tools to plumbing and heating installers from its branches in Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Dorset.
Delta has been stocking Monument Tools since they opened their doors in 1990 and today, both Monument Tools and the Monument brand are a key components of its product offering.
"Monument Tools provide us with quality tools and equipment requested regularly by our customers." says Gareth Howell, Director of Delta Plumbing and Heating Supplies Ltd. "Together with our distributors, Toolbank, who maintain our stock levels through excellent availability of product range and a regular restocking service, they are the perfect partners for a profitable business, demonstrating their understanding of the needs of independent merchants such as ourselves."
Delta's sales have been increasing steadily year on year, reaching a current turnover of £3 million per annum. Central to Delta’s success has been its extensive range of plumbing and heating products, teamed with its much valued knowledge and hands-on practical expertise.
The daily queries answered by the Delta sales team are matched in number by the daily sales of the plumbers’ tools like Pipe Cutters and Basin Wrenches, supplied by Monument Tools. These items come packed from Monument and ready to place on a wall display or tool bar, designed to catch the attention of tradesmen who instinctively seek out the black and yellow colouring of the Monument brand.
Delta source these fast moving items and many others from Toolbank, Southampton, their local distributor for Monument products. Toolbank specialises in the distribution of quality hand and power tools throughout the UK and Ireland and stocks 25,000 products from over 200 brands. They operate from 13 warehouses in the UK, fronted by a competent 160-strong combined field sales and telesales team.
Through Toolbank, Delta benefit from short delivery times, rapid restocking and a reduction in the number of purchase orders they need to raise.
Delta’s staff select the products using the 672-page, 3.5lb, Toolbank "Big Blue Book" catalogue, Toolbank’s on-line ’Business to Business’ service, and Monument Tools’ comprehensive catalogue. They also receive regular visits from their Monument sales representative, consult with Monument Tools’ sales team by phone and download product information from www.monument-tools.com.
