Suitable for blocking off or air testing pipes of 3½
to 6in; 89 to 150mm diameter. Tough rigid plastic central
mandrel has inflatable replaceable collar secured by 2
clips. Central nipple is for connection to U Gauge. Reverse
end of plug has removable stopper for an air test. Replace
stopper and use as a drain plug for blanking off pipes.
Equipped with Schrader valve inflation hose. Maximum inflation
pressure 12psi 0.86 bar. Ideal for use with 174Z Air testing
kit.
This kit contains all the items required (except testing
plugs) to carry out an air test to 100mm water gauge pressure
(10mb) on any size of drain or pipe. Kit contains U Gauge;
hand bellows pump; ½" & 1in BSP nipple
caps; Tee piece; 3 x 2ft (0.6m) lengths of rubber hose.
Made from tough plastics, used both for testing pipework installations with air for leaks before the introduction of gas and for checking and setting correct gas pressures on domestic and commercial appliances. Marked in millibars, the scale adjusts to zero the water level. Extruded cover slides off and may be clipped over the base for standing the tool vertically during use. Hanging tab permits vertical hanging from suitable protrusion.
